INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Blackwood Primary School is accredited through International Education Services (IES) to provide education for International Students.
Our school community welcomes the opportunity to host International Students as full fee paying students or through Study Tours.
Each year we host a study tour of overseas students who stay with families from our school community. The families are accredited as homestay hosts.
During the study tour the International Student will gain many experiences including
• Improving their English
• Integration in classroom lessons
• Learning about our Australian culture
• Sightseeing
• Experiencing day to day life with a family in Australia
We also host full fee paying International Students who are fully integrated into the classroom.
Our school community embrace these opportunities as they encourage our students to become Global citizens by:
• Forming friendships
• Buddy/mentor opportunities
• To respect and value diversity
• Knowledge of other cultures
