SCHOOL PE AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES
At Blackwood Primary School physical activity is an important part of school life. The school is on 10 acres with large ovals, playgrounds and many shaded areas encouraging students to explore and be challenged in the environment. Students are allowed to climb, and play in the gully area in lunch breaks.
Students are encouraged to explore a range of physical activities in PE lessons, break times, whole school activities, and extra-curricular activities in and after school. Community sporting opportunities are fostered through Blackwood Primary School’s Community Sports Day, Sporting Schools sports and promotion of community activities.
