International Students

Blackwood Primary School is accredited through International Education Services (IES) to provide education for International Students.

Our school community welcomes the opportunity to host International Students as full fee paying students or through Study Tours.

We host study tours of overseas students who stay with families from our school community. The families are accredited as homestay hosts. 

During the study tour the International Student will gain many experiences including:
•    Improving their English
•    Integration in classroom lessons
•    Learning about our Australian culture
•    Sightseeing
•    Experiencing day to day life with a family in Australia

We also host full fee paying International Students who are fully integrated into the classroom.

Our school community embraces these opportunities as they encourage our students to become Global citizens by:
•    Forming friendships
•    Providing buddying/mentoring opportunities
•    Respecting and valuing diversity 
•   Building knowledge of other cultures
